My life adventures

Haleakala crater by sunrise, Ma’alaea harbor by sunset

I just finished writing an article about our pilgrimage up the slopes of Haleakala to watch the famed sunrise at the summit. You can find it here.

To complement our sunrise excursion, we took a sunset cruise out of Ma’alaea last night on the Pride of Maui. We saw tons of whales and one even breached for us! The food was ok and there was an open bar and live music. It was touristy, but we met some interesting people and the whales definitely made the trip worth it.

  1. Yes, both activities were somewhat touristy, but quite memorable nonetheless. I enjoyed myself immensely. Great pics!
